Is there any way to load my precious ES patterns into my XS7?

Place the Motif XS in PATTERN mode
Press [FILE]
Set the Type = ‘PATTERN’
Move the cursor up and highlight the file > press [ENTER]
If the file is an ALL data file (.W7A) or an ALL PATTERN file (.W7P), the XS will ‘open’ it and show you a list of PATTERNS… highlight the file by name.
Move the cursor down and target an internal Pattern location.
Press [SF2] LOAD

The XS can load ES ALL data, ES SONG files, ES PATTERN Files… etc., just load it.

Hello Bad_Mister,

I did load ES patterns from [All] data file, but for a single pattern [.w7p] I couldn’t.

I’ll try tonight & see what I missed then brief you…

Sure you can. It will not select the correct Voices - because as you know the XS is not an ES but your PATTERN data will load.

You’re right, thanks…
You know what was my problem? I was trying to load patterns while I was in voice mode, that’s when I press [File] I can’t see anything called All Patterns or Pattern. I thought it is similiar navigation just like ES series…

Now I have my old precious patterns loaded, thanks /forums/images/icons/smile.gif alt=
