We use a motif rack on stage. We use a customized preset that I didn’t create.... it was programmed into the motif rack when I got here. It is a customized voice saved as USR001 called NEW GRAND It was created with nothing external..... is there way I can export the settings (mainly for a backup copy) that create that voice so I could “LOAD IT” from a computer or flash drive?.... for instance… say I advanced a motif or a motif rack for a fly date where we are renting gear and I want to load my NEW GRAND preset onto the rental motif......

Re: Touring Setup Question
Sounds to me like what you’re talking about is a SysEx Bulk Dump.

Re: Touring Setup Question
Thanks for the reply. I don’t have a manual for the rack motif we have on the road. I personally own a Motif ES7 in a home studio, I do have the manual for it. I have never done a bulk dump or had any reason to.

Re: Touring Setup Question Are we talking about a Classic Motif Rack, or a Motif ES Rack? If it’s an ES Rack, you can just save an All File to a USB stick, and load it into the rental Motif ES. If it’s a Classic Rack, I’m not sure what to do. There are compatibility issues between the ES and the Classic though. Also, if you happen to rent an XS, you’ll have the same compatibility issues. That’s because the different models have different waveforms. |

Re: Touring Setup Question
We have a Classic Motif Rack....... and I usually advance a Motif 8 on a fly dates.......... I will look at the manual.... maybe I can figure it out. I am the production manager and monitor guy as well and was hoping I could find a quick and easy way to save this one setting.
