Re: Free Patterns, etc.
There are a very few free patterns available on the “Drum Loops N More” page of the MotifMart . In addition, there are a variety of free voice banks available on this page .

Re: Free Patterns, etc.
Hey Weber....I wanted to ask about Oriental⁄Persian patterns and sounds...I am going to need to use my pattern mode like a rythem machine for live play...i’m going to play some greek music.....Do you know where I could find some of these pattern rythems...I want to make my motif act like the Yamaha psr700or...with it’s easy to use approach with the styles......also the motif classic has great sounds but almost no Oriental/persion type sounds ....do you know where I could find some that are not samples.....I have some samples which I spent alot of mony for and I was really disapointed.....also if you know of any arps that may help I would appreciate it.....I am trying to avoid buying a new keyboard since this is for a few shows

Re: Free Patterns, etc.
nice to meet you where are you from? greece? i play with a singer that sings in many different music styles such as israeli music, greek, arab, tango, salsa, ballads, rock… so like you, i use the Motif(now the XS but i still have the Classic) in pattern mode in some cases to add loops and complex phrases. you have a variety of instrument sounds, instrument loops and percussion loops in the link below i hope you’ll find it usefu. tell me what you think and if you have another requests i’ll try to help you with what i have here

Re: Free Patterns, etc. yes I found a bunch of sf2 files....no loops or patterns but I did find a boozokie and a zurna...but again not in motif voice mode...so I read a different thread saying that you can translate sf2 files to motif voices with a program called chicken systems translator...this program keeps crashing on me becuase it’s the free version.....so really all I got was the boozokie...I would have loved the canun, zurna, oud, but this software is really troublesome and to buy it will cost 140 usd...so its expencive....does anyone have any other way to convert the files to motif voices????...the wedding gig I have is on Friday....so I wont be able to modify my programs to include any new voices or patterns because I have not had a chance to try anything out in a live situation, but It was a push in the right direction...and I really appreciated the web site....Actually you can find all sorts of good stuff their....By the way I live in New York.....USA....I really like this styles of music and If I could find an isreali/arab/greek band I would love it… |

Re: Free Patterns, etc. manos, did you download the files i sent you? there are many instruments there i think you’ll find useful, you only have to load the .wav you like using the sampler and edit them the way you want to. are you using VST instruments as well? |

Re: Free Patterns, etc.
no problem.....first of all I need to know which motif you are using....are you using the classice, es, or xs.......then I eed to know what instruments do you want.....Kanun..lute...boozokie....and then I need you to email me at will convert my samples to the format of your keyboard and then you will have to tweek them in the edit mode....these are samples and they are the real deal...so they sound pritty realistic.....but you need to add effects and edit them to your liking..they are totally dry.....these were emailed to me from someone here in the forum.....I think the guy sampled his own instruments to make some of these....but not really sure
