Re: Replacement Power Adaptor?
Authorized Yamaha dealers should have this. If you can’t find one in your area, check with the regional distributor listed on the inside back cover of your Owner’s Manual.

Re: Replacement Power Adaptor? I would sort of caution against it but if you could find a power adapter that puts out 16V and 2.4A which is 16 volts and 2.4 Amps or you might see it as 2400 mA or 2400 milliamps then you would be alright. It is just that if you use a power adapter that is not a perfect fit you risk damage to the unit. That is regardless to what electronic device you use. I got a generic adapter for the MO8 after the adapter fried for some reason. I also spent $40 for the original and I plan to use the generic one for a backup after the original comes in. Hope this helps so proceed with caution but you can technically do it. |

Wow! $110 for a power adapter… I just checked eBay and recently the price for a used Motif Rack is in the $450-$600 range. paying 1/4 to 1/5 of the price of the instrument for a simple power supply does seem exorbitant.

Re: Replacement Power Adaptor?
It (PA300) is very similar to the prices of computer laptop power supplies… it is in fact an external power supply and is universal in that it can used in systems that are 100V, 110V, 120V, 220V, 240V you simply swap the AC connector portion that goes to the wall socket. So yes, it is more expensive (PA300)
