Dear Yamaha Gurus!

Could you give some detailed information about user pattern(style) creation for MM6 under Cubase/or Sonar sequencer.
Witch midi channels are used by pattern bass, chord, drum etc. ? How can I setup the initialization and where can I put event meta markers for variation separation?

Regards,

Geocache

Re: User pattern creation for MM6

geocache,
I’m not a guru, but I can say that you probably able to use any PSR style file after choosing only 9 section (break, Main A, Fillin A, Main B, Fillin B, Main C, Fillin C, and MAin D, fillin D) from it and then you can use it on your MM6. You may edit a style using One Man Band software or CasimEdit

Keep in mind that the 8 channels of a style are:
channel#9 Rhythm
channel#10 Rhythm
chnl#11 Bass
chnl#12 chord1
chnl#13 chord2
chnl#14 pad
chnl#15 phrase1
chnl#16 phrase2

Hope that will help…

You can use Visual Styler to convert style files from one PSR model to another (and I assume the MM6). It’s free at Clef & Bar . Click the image lower right of that page.
