I can’t seem to find much online about PLG’s or the AIEB2 board.

I did see one place in Melbourne with the AIEB2 for $100 a few months back, and a couple have list prices for PLG’s.

I’m interested to know what anyone here has paid for these as I’m keen on the AN and DX boards in particular, and possibly the AIEB2 output expansion. I would also be keen to hear from anyone who might have any of these for sale secondhand.

I also have new/unused-in-box DR (drums) and PC (percussion) boards to sell so I want an idea of what they go for so I can set an attractive price. They would be especially suitable for S90 and Motif Classic owners although the percussion board probably adds more to these and the ES/Rack as well. Both add their own 32 voice polyphony and effects in any case, which is why they might suit the 64 voice models more.

I’ll be posting at a later stage about the PLG’s plus some other bits of gear (Kawai K5000, Ensoniq VFX, Alesis SR16 drum machine etc that I’m selling now that I have an ES.

Plus a bit of local chatter on this forum couldn’t hurt either, I suppose.

Hi Way_ne
Billy Hyde Melbourne has prices for some of these, new of course but it’s a start on values. Listed price too, my experience that with a bit of negotiation you perhaps could do better.

Re: PLG/AIEB2 Wanted - Street Prices?

I know for a fact that more than two Motifs have been sold in Australia. Maybe I’ll have to give some stuff away!?

Thanks for the suggestion Keith. I’ll do some ‘phoning around a few places soon.

Most of the four-and-half locals probably don’t even look here since it’s been so quiet lately.

While we’re still a constitutional monarchy it’s probably OK for you and the other U.K. members to drop by too, Wellie!

Re: PLG/AIEB2 Wanted - Street Prices?

I’m Aus! It’s just I don’t have much info on this stuff.

Well, I saw an An200 on sale for 500$ I think. at http://www.turramusic.com.au

that’s prob the only one that’d have it, that I know.

but my other standard places are:

Re: PLG/AIEB2 Wanted - Street Prices?

Thanks Arfraef. I hadn’t tried Allans. I ‘phoned around a few places in Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne and the cheapest so far was - AN $580, DX(PLG100) $559, and $395 apiece for the DR/PC boards. I’ll try some haggling yet and see if anyone can do better, especially the place where I bought the ES and Virus C.

I’ll put $275 each (less for both together) for my DR and PC boards new-in-box for now.

Re: PLG/AIEB2 Wanted - Street Prices?

Let’s see - Keith, Jordzen, Brian C, Arfraef, Tracy and myself, I think. That’s six at the moment. Plus a couple of unregistered posters a while back both from Melbournistan who I suspect registered to advertise their gear for sale, and Nick in ‘Canberry’ who wasn’t around long.

I’d better do put together the rest of my sale list soon before I get stuck with stale stock.

Lemon, lime and hock,
I’m stuck with stale stock.
My adverti
reach only five.
So still I watch the clock.

(Attention Webster’s - I hereby declare ‘adverti’ to be the plural of advertisement from this day forward.)

Re: PLG/AIEB2 Wanted - Street Prices?

I picked up the PLG150DR for $245 and PLG150PF for $265 in Tokyo. This was just over half the price that I was given in Sydney for the same modules.

Did you manage to unload your ‘stale stock’???

Re: PLG/AIEB2 Wanted - Street Prices?

Another local!

No I haven’t unloaded anything yet though I haven’t advertised anywhere else. I’m slothfully getting around to getting photos of all the bits. Going on the prices you paid OS I think my asking price for the PLG’s (ono) is pretty good.

The more complete list is:

-The PLG’s (drums and perc), $275 each ono-

-Alesis SR16 drum machine as new in box, $250-

-Kawai K5000S Additive (and silver!) synth, immaculate, $900-

-Ensoniq VFX vgc, never gigged, $550-

-Some Atari ST computers, monitors and s/ware, offers-

-Korg G3 Leslie sim pedal board, hard to find, pristine, $450-

-(Maybe) Rocktron Pro Gap guitar preamp, bliss, $375-

-Yoshimura carbon fibre/stainless full two-into-two exhaust system for Honda VTR1000F, new, $1500 (well it is sound related)-

Two bedroom unit with lock-up garage, private yard, heating and cooling in quiet area of Albury, $145 000 ono (with any of the above music items as a free gift), bargain!

That just about covers it I think.
