Motif XS is the latest and greatest keyboard in the Motif Series.
Building on the ground-breaking technology and experience that Yamaha has utilized since the first Motif arrived in 2001, the XS is not just Motif only more so, it represents a major shift in how these world-beating sounds and effects can be enjoyed and applied within modern music production.
The Motif XS was released in April 2007 and, with new OS being delivered every six months or so, is still very much developing as a platform for integrated music production using the internal sequencer, and/or mLAN, and/or the bundled Cubase AI DAW software.
Any immediate questions you may have can be asked and will be answered almost in real time on the forums. If you want to see and hear a Motif XS visit The Listening Room (for audio demos) and the Web Videos area in Motifated Media for an ever-growing selection of videos.
The company behind Motifator.com also has a video division (we produced the original Motif and Motif ES DVDs) and in addition to the ‘official’ Motif XS DVD (The World Of Motif XS) we also now offer a MasterClass DVD presented by some of the top names in the Motif business.
The Newbie Zone and Behind The Manual. BTM and the NewbieZone are two living, breathing entities that are changing all the time. Make sure you check back here on a regular basis or subscribe to the new Motifator RSS feed to be kept informed of new content being added.
Although the XS is brim full of content, you always need more, don't you? Motif sound design guru, Dave Polich from DCP, has recreated almost all of his groundbreaking voice libraries for the new waveROM and functionality of the XS. There are also many other voice and sample banks now available, both transfers from earlier platforms and brand new ‘never been heard before’ collections such as Vocoder Dreamz.
Other essentials you can find in this dedicated ‘Motif shop' included certified and guaranteed sample memory, hard and soft cases, the crucial (if you want to make use of the XS's half-damping capability) FC3 pedal, as well as headphones, monitors, USB sticks, books and DVDs, and a gazillion other things to help maximize your music-making experience.
